About

WHO WE ARE

Why

The last two decades of aviation history have brought incredible advances in technology and safety throughout the aviation industry. The complexity of the regulatory landscape in aviation operations has likewise evolved as regulators attempt to adjust aviation regulations to address the changes brought by advances in aviation technology and changing operational realities.
Aircraft operators are presented with increasingly complex compliance systems and regulatory requirements while the regulatory personnel tasked with aviation oversight and enforcement are also adapting to new systems and ever changing guidance.
Our focus is to provide safety focused compliance solutions. When regulatory compliance is driven by a focus on safe operations, sound operational procedures, and integrity the result is a regulatory approach which extends beyond simply satisfying the regulatory requirements leading to enhanced operational efficiency.

How can we help you with compliance?

Values

The core value of all effective aviation endeavors is safety. Our approach to compliance is centered on the concept that safety and compliance often overlap but safety will always hold the higher priority for all aviation operations. When an operation is conducted with safety as the highest value, compliant operations are typically the result. We focus on how to enhance this relationship, allowing safety to remain the focus and eliminating conflict created by a concern over regulatory compliance.
Clear communication is essential to the successful operation of any flight. Communication is just as important when working compliance projects and we endeavor to ensure a clear understanding of client needs is paired with straight forward methods to work toward the end goal whether that is manual revision services, aircraft management, or a major certification project.
Successful relationships are built on integrity. This is principle drives successful compliance culture just as it does other aspects of life. We strive to establish respect, trust, and confidence not only in our clients, but also in the regulators who we interact with on behalf of our clients. When a foundation of trust is established compliance relationships between regulators and industry stakeholders are enhanced.

David Fernald with Full Circle Aviation

Team

David Fernald started his career as a teenager with a passion for all things aviation. Through many blessings and helpful mentors a childhood aspiration led to partnering with his father to start a flight school and Part 135 operation from scratch-an endeavor which neither Fernald had any prior experience in.
The first few years could best be described as “learning the hard way,” but laid an excellent foundation for a career in charter operations and corporate aviation. David has been a Part 135 pilot for nearly two decades, during which time he has held the roles of check airman, Part 135 instructor, and Director of Operations. Within these roles various projects have included development of an Initial Operating Experience program, writing compliance manuals, writing checklists, oversight of FAA operator certification, and direct interface with FAA inspectors.
While skill in compliance projects has been the result of David’s experience he realizes the greatest satisfaction from enabling others to succeed, mentoring individuals to maximum professional growth as aviators.
